Total QA provides a customizable cloud-based platform for creating , managing and implementing a QA system that integrates manual input, image processing results and device input in a coherent whole. The Total QA API allows you to extend the core system with new analyses, file imports and even whole new front end applications.
The Total QA Application Programmer Interface (API) provides a secure REST type architecture providing a simple, scalable interface to the core functionality of the Total QA platform. This allows outside developers remote access to data in the Total QA database for custom analyses and the ability to push data and images into the Total QA database and image processing engine. Administrative functions can also be controlled through the API thus allowing complete applications on top of the core capabilities.
The REST architecture of the API can be accessed by nearly any modern programming language. The documentation has examples illustrating connections to the service from MATLAB, Python and C#. To simplify the connection even further Image Owl has recently made available a complete MATLAB wrapper. Toolkits for Python, C# and Java are being prepared.
