Total QA® Weekly Release Blog: Release 19.6.12

This was a somewhat quiet week for completed work in Total QA. One of our senior developers, Sigurbjörn Jónsson, is finishing up his Master’s thesis in Digital Media Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. Keep up the hard work, Sibbi!. You are almost there!

Our other senior developer, Erica Kirkbride, is celebrating her first anniversary with us. She has been a fantastic addition to our team as a colleague and friend! Erica has been the brains behind several major projects this year including the Total QA Machine Log.

We are transitioning towards a couple of larger projects over the next few months based on some themes we are hearing from our users. So quite a bit of background data gathering, design and planning are going on. Stay tuned. We plan to have some announcements at AAPM in a few weeks (Phantom Laboratory/ Image Owl Booth #526 July 14-18, 2019).

Our 2nd annual User’s Group Meeting will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the historic Menger Hotel from 5 to 7 PM. We have some great speakers lined up (and refreshments!) Hope to see you there! RSVP here, please.

Improvements to Vendor Notifications (and other stuff) in the Machine Log

We made some improvements to the ability of users to contact vendors after the initial creation of Machine Log Incidents and the logging of vendor contacts in the database.

Sometimes an initially innocuous issue turns into a bigger or more persistent situation and it’s nice to have a very simple way to elevate the problem to the vendor’s support staff.

We also made the incidents’ id numbers visible and searchable on the incident list page as users mentioned that they usually use the incident id when communicating with colleagues and vendors.

Leeds Tweak

One of our users sent us a Leeds kV image that was an edge case on the analysis when it decides whether to invert the image or not. We pushed up a change quickly to prevent it from inconveniencing anyone else. The beauty of a cloud-based system and an agile workflow!
